lost a good friend; I’ve done all I can. You see his life, his passion, his love, laid out in front of you and it has to go. A keen horseman, a loyal friend and devoted father. Oh so proud of those kids. Hard to please at times but with a heart of sun and joy. I am the one who is blessed to have been able to call him friend. HiI s bellow of “Hello Darlin” still echoes in my head and will be so very missed when I pick up the phone. Just a week before, whoever knows that was the final hug, the final goodbye. Would I have said anything different, told him one more time how much I appreciated and loved him?

So here they are. Rey died in a car accident, no insurance, 2 brain surgeries and a family that has to deal with horses that they are unfamiliar with. I am trying my best to get this all straightened out and sold off for his family who do not “do” horses. You have a prime opportunity to buy some exceptional horses many that would never be on the market if this had not happened. Buyers are responsible for paying for a Coggins and health paperwork necessary for transporting the horses to their destination. We will help organize so that the horses split the call charge and we get them done at one time. Buyers

Paperwork is pending on some horses, some have been completed and paid for and some are being sold on breeding certificates.

There are some horses whose identity is in question, mostly the younger stock. We have breeding certificates in hand but are unsure on some which ones go with which horses. We do have ideas from Rey’s notes and speaking to his friends. We have contacted both associations and have a plan and a method of parentage verifying these horses to complete their registration. Andrea will sign whatever necessary paperwork to get this done but the costs for completion will be on the person purchasing the horse. Please keep this in consideration. Currently there is an AQHA “special” that allows registration of horses 3 years and older for $300 until December 31, 2011.

HYPP testing is being done on the horses that have not yet been done with the exception of some~Again please read the notes carefully. If it is not a requirement for completion of their current pending AQHA paperwork, these tests will be done through Animal Genetics for economy and speed. They will not be accepted by AQHA but you will know what the status is of any horse you are interested in.

This is not an absolute auction. Andrea and Joshua have the right to accept or decline any offer on the horses. It IS their intent to sell them all. There are no reserves in place on any of the horses but they will determine what they want to accept. There will be a second opportunity for those interested in the horses to have a second chance to bid on any given horse as it is imperative that they get the maximum amount they can to meet Rey’s medical bills.

We expect to have this end within 2-3 weeks depending on the time it takes to get HYPP results and the remainder of the paperwork in order. There will be an announcement one (1) week prior to the intended end time/date.

We have tried to the best of our ability to present all of the answers to questions in regard to the horses and their condition. Keep in mind that the horses are located quite a distance from any of us so unfortunately cannot offer any videos or additional pictures unless we currently have them.

First of all I want to thank everyone for their kind words about my father, this has been very hard for me not being a “horse person” and trying to deal with everything else. These horses were my father’s life they meant everything to him. We had a overwhelming amount of email response and we tried to keep up with it the best we could. I have decided since we did not have automatic online bidding to make it fair for everyone we will be contacting the top three bidders from each horse to get there highest price they are willing to pay. Please keep in mind I have thirty three horses to go through so be patient I do not want to drag this out and go back and forth and make everyone wait any longer.
